Iranian leader President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued this statement to "Washington's European Allies":
"I'm telling you in plain language that as of now on, if you try, whether in your propaganda or at international organizations, to take steps against the rights of the Iranian nation, the Iranian nation will consider it an act of hostility,"
"And if you insist on pursuing this path," he continued, Iran "will reconsider its relations with you."
Now, should Europe be worried? Are they worried? Iran has oil and gas to offer (which is why I find it ironic they need nuclear energy...) and is willing to open up its market to Europe (Iran currently favors China and Russia) to help bolster trade...but is it worth it? Europe and the US want tough sanctions against Iran for continuing its nuclear development, but China and Russia want to talk...something that has not worked so far.
Europe, do not let greed get in the way of what needs to be done. You have little to gain by coddling Iran.
