You know, for a "smart man", John Kerry is an idiot. His comment, "I botched the joke" does not lessen the insult he gave to the ENTIRE US ARMED FORCES. His refusal to apologize is even more indicative of his self-centeredness. It is no wonder that Democrats are asking him to cancel your visits in Iowa, Minnesota, and Philadelphia. But now that I think about it, the Dems are reacting very smart about this. Many of them, including Hillary Clinton, are saying that Kerry went too far. It is the smart thing to do...damage control. Now if we can just keep the memory of this blunder alive until 2008 when Kerry plans on running again...he won't have a chance of getting elected.
BtW Senator Kerry, I am PROUD of my son who is serving in the Texas Army National Guard and soon to be deployed to Kuwait.
