Well, many of us that is. Knightmare, my longtime WV friend has been really working hard to give Linux (more specifically Ubuntu 6.10) a fair shake. He is (or was) a diehard Windows fan and has been for a long time. I convinced him to try Linux and he is really making progress. For that I am happy. In one of his last posts, he was upset at himself because he was trying to get Linux to look like Windows. So, a lot of us do it, although I was more interested in making Linux look like a Mac...but the look is not what is important. What is important is that you are: 1) Using a more secure OS, 2) Using a more stable OS (leave your Linux machine running for about 6 months and see if it still is running well), and 3) Learning something new. Linux is getting very popular in the corporate environment and while they may be chosing Red Hat or SuSE, I have seen a few Ubuntu boxes on our lan... ;)
Remember Knightmare, that it is not what the tool looks like, it is how well it performs. At one time, PHLAK had a "Windows Look-a-like" Mode to keep people from being too nosy...
