My wife and I just got back from her doc a couple of hours ago. We had gotten a call that they wanted us to come in so the doc could go over the pathology report on her thyroid that they removed.
The bad news - It had a cancer tumor on it.
The good news - There was only one and it was only one mm (one millimeter) in diameter.
Now she has to get an appointment with an endocrinologist to see what the next course of action. The prognosis is good. It was only one tumor but that is not saying that she could not have more, although we are trying to stay positive.
My wife is pleased. She listened to God when she felt that he was telling her to have the surgery (the tumor was so small it was missed in the biopsy) and she has avoided a major problem later.
I will continue to thank God for his mercies.
